Hi everyone,

Thank you for joining us for the Distinguished Lecture last Thursday! We were honored to host Dr. Jillian Pintye, RN, MPH, PhD, FAAN, a La Salle University School of Nursing and Health Sciences alumna who reflected on the role that Lasallian values played in shaping her path in nursing, research, and global health.

Drawing on her work in HIV and STI prevention among women and families in Botswana and Kenya, she discussed how principles of service, social justice, and community engagement guided efforts to address health disparities.

Dr. Pintye also shared lessons from building equitable global collaborations and translating research into public health impact. The talk highlighted how nurses can pursue careers that integrate clinical insight, research, and a commitment to advancing health equity locally and globally.

We are excited to invite you to join La Salle Sigma’s- Kappa Delta Chapter team for the Out of the Darkness Walk at the Mann Center.

📅 Walk Day: Sunday, October 5, 2025
📍 Location: The Mann Center for the Performing Arts, Philadelphia

This annual event, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), raises awareness, saves lives, and brings hope to those affected by suicide. Together, we can make a difference.
