    Hi everyone,

    Thank you for joining us for the Distinguished Lecture last Thursday! We were honored to host Dr. Jillian Pintye, RN, MPH, PhD, FAAN, a La Salle University School of Nursing and Health Sciences alumna who reflected on the role that Lasallian values played in shaping her path in nursing, research, and global health.

    Drawing on her work in HIV and STI prevention among women and families in Botswana and Kenya, she discussed how principles of service, social justice, and community engagement guided efforts to address health disparities.

    Dr. Pintye also shared lessons from building equitable global collaborations and translating research into public health impact. The talk highlighted how nurses can pursue careers that integrate clinical insight, research, and a commitment to advancing health equity locally and globally.

  • Kappe Delta Chapter of Sigma- Special Election

    Hello Everyone, 

     

    The Kappa Delta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau is currently experiencing transitions among several board members, as some are moving into new roles at different universities or entering retirement.
    To ensure the chapter continues to effectively serve its members, we will be holding a special election to fill these vacancies. The President and Vice President positions are best suited for members who are full-time faculty at La Salle, as these roles involve close collaboration with university administration to coordinate events, fundraisers, and other chapter activities. Additionally, members must be active members (dues paid) of the chapter. 
    We are now accepting nominations for the following positions:

    A project of Nurses & Neighbors Collaborative, Inc.
    Rehoboth Beach, DE
    The Kappa Delta Chapter of Sigma is collecting monetary donations to support unhoused adults receiving care at the nurse‑run clinic at the CRC. The clinic serves 20–50 individuals daily, providing essential health services and connections to care.
    🦷 Your Donation Helps Provide:
    Transportation to dental appointments
    Dental care fees not covered by insurance
    Medications and follow‑up treatment costs
    We are especially proud that
    Dr. Jane Kurz β€” current Adjunct Faculty, long‑standing La Salle faculty member, and Kappa Delta member β€” volunteers with and leads efforts at this clinic.
